How To Create A Website

Posted on 8 September 2021

It’s Not Hard

Creating a website may seem complicated but once you know what you fancy, it becomes incredibly simple! The most difficult part of setting up your own website is knowing what you want it to look like, but once you have that idea in mind, the rest is easily achieved. If any of the steps seem complicated you can always email support@freecom.net for advice or help!

Domain & Hosting

The first step you should take when creating a Website should be; getting a Domain Name! A Domain Name is a web address that someone would type in to get your website. E.g. One of Google’s domain names is ‘Google.com’. You can set multiple domain names up to use your Website, this can help make sure that similar addresses still head straight to your site.

A domain is easy to get and can be done by contacting any provider and simply asking if the domain you are looking to use is available. Domains can’t be used by multiple people, so it is important to make sure you get the domains you need before someone else can take them! If you are unsure, you can always email support@Freecom.net and we can help you find the domain you need!

Website Building

Once you have a Domain name, it is ready to be configured! Assuming that you already have a website, it will be ready to go online. Although, if you are stuck at this stage, you don’t need to worry!

If you are unsure what you want your website to look like, try to find a website you already like, we can use this style to import your media and branding to make it more personalised. Not all providers may offer this flexibility but we believe it is important to make everything as easy and convenient as possible.

Extra Features To Meet Extra Needs

Sometimes you lack particular options to meet the criteria for a great website. Fortunately, at Freecom, we can provide a variety of different options to ensure your site is capable of everything you expect. You can edit your site with your own code, or, if you are less tech-savvy, be creative with the incredibly user-friendly WordPress platform, where you can simply drag and drop text, images and other media, onto your site.

We have different platforms, plugins, features and editors. The amount of choices makes creating a simple or more manual environment more optimal and specialized. If you are curious about any of our functions you can always email us at support@freecom.net. For less than £400, you can get a fully functioning website from scratch with domain hosting. We believe in, High Quality & Low Price.
