Changes to our Dial-up service
From March 30th 2007 Freecom.net will be withdrawing it's dial-up internet service. However, Freecom.net will provide an alternative service through one of it's partners, Griffin Internet.
If you wish to continue to use a dial-up internet service then you will need to follow the below instructions.
For information regarding changing to Broadband, please call Customer Services on - 01384 45 3742. |

| 1. Click on Start, Connect To and Show All connections. (See below) |

| 2. Right click on the on Freecom.net Icon and choose Properties |

| 3. Call technical support for an up to date telephone number: 08708 800 100 |
|
|
| 4. Click OK. This will make the telephone number permanent and you may continue to dial up as normal. |

If you use an e-mail client, such as Outlook or Outlook express you will now need to change the SMTP server in your e-mail client. If you use the Freecom.net webmail service you will not need to do the following.
Outlook 2003
1) Open your e-mail client
2) Click on 'Tools' on the men bar
3) Click 'E-mail accounts'
4) Select 'View or change existing mail accounts', click 'Next'
5) Double click your account
6) Now amend the SMTP server address from smtp.freecom.net to smtp.griffin.com
Outlook 2000 / Outlook Express
1) Open your e-mail client
2) Click on 'Tools' on the menu bar
3) Click 'Accounts'
4) Select the mail tab
5) Then double click the relevant mail account
6) Select the servers tab
7) Now change the outgoing mail server from 'smtp.freecom.net' to 'smtp.griffin.com'
